the town by the river Shops effected by Storm Imogen
On the Monday the 8th of February the UK was struck by a large storm 'Imogen'
with winds of 70-80 mph and Bridgend was not spared as the old
town felt its force, as tiles, slates, masonry and even capping stones came
crashing to the ground exploding on impact sending early morning shoppers
scurrying for safety.
The police closed off the town centre as more buildings became to dangerous
for shoppers.
One capping or ridge stone left above this shop.
Cordons around buildings effected by the storm Imogen the following
day.
The ceiling in the shop was blown down by a sudden strong gust of wind.
