~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sunday 2nd of July 2017 On Sunday 2nd of July 2017 a memorial was unveiled and
is a fitting tribute to those who battled in the skies and on the ground and
made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, and as a War Memorial the RAF
will attend on the nearest Sunday to the 11th of November.
The 53 named crosses are the Airmen who died while training at Stormy Down,
11 are buried at Porthcawl Cemetery.
Ken Picton who fought for 33 years to make this happen.
